The Buzzer System has arrived at Unity Elementary School:

From this point on, our main entrance door will be locked at 8:00. Visitors to our school throughout the day must ring the doorbell and be granted access by our front office staff. Please be ready to tell us the purpose of your visit before the door will be unlocked. You may be asked to show ID.  As always, visitors must stop in the main office to sign in.

In addition, please follow these steps:

  1. Press the buzzer.  The office staff will see you on the video screen.
  2. Face the camera and wait for office staff to respond.
  3. Tell the office staff the purpose of your visit.
  4. Place your hand on the door handle until you feel the click, and open the door. Only one person will be able to enter the school at a time.If someone is behind you, the door will have to be shut completely and Steps 1-4 will have to be followed.
  5. Enter the office and the staff will be happy to assist you.

We thank you for your cooperation with our security procedures as we work together to keep our school community safe.
